Vencejo de tormenta (Ashy tailed swift)

Habiendo avistado muchos vencejos el día anterior en este mismo lugar, me propuse intentar fotografiarlos en vuelo, todo un verdadero desafío debido al tamaño del ave, a la velocidad de su vuelo y a las limitaciones de mi cámara y lente para este tipo de fotos.
Luego de varios intentos estas son las dos mejores fotos que pude sacar.

Having many Swifts sighted the previous day in this place, I decided to try to photograph them in flight, all a real challenge due to the size of the bird, its flight speed and the limitations of my camera and lens for these photos.
After several attempts these are the two best photos I take.






Descripción del ave / Bird description

Este vencejo, de la familia apodidae mide 11 centímetros, es gregario, de vuelo permanente rápido y sinuoso.
Se posan verticalmente y asemejan golondrinas.
su coloración es oscura, tienen el pico corto y la boca grande; las alas son muy largas, estrechas y curvadas.
El macho y la hembra son semejantes, tienen la cola con espinas finalizando las timoneras.
habita Sudamérica exeptuando Chile en bosques, selvas y sabanas.
En Argentina existen 8 especies de Vencejos.


This swift,of the family Apodidae measures 11 centimeters, is gregarious, flying fast and winding permanent.
Vertically perch and resemble swallows.
their color is dark, have a short beak and a big mouth, the wings are very long, narrow and curved.
The male and female are similar, have the tail with spines terminating the rudder.
Inhabits South America except Chile in forests and savannas.
In Argentina there are 8 species of Swifts.
