Today, these birds were flying a bit away from the coast, where permitted we move into the pasture to get closer to the water. Everything was a matter of sitting and waiting to begin Cormorants overflights in the area where we were.

Garcita azulada ( Striated heron )

Since we had the fact that in the Botanical Garden Of Posadas city had a resident population of birds of this species we set out to photograph them without question.
We were 8 times for 3 months without positive results, we could not even see it until last week Roby calls me to tell me that I had to close and distance vision, that day I lost the opportunity to photograph because he had left the camera in my house.
Last Saturday we went with Willy in the morning to find him, we visited the place mentioned by Roby for an hour, again with no luck, until the day last Tuesday, having a free moment in the afternoon and after many attempts as I can observe and photograph .
I assure you that my hands were shaking because of anxiety.
These are the results, you will see why it is difficult to see.

10000 y Seguimos!!! 10000 and follow!

Garza bruja (Black crowned night heron)

Another kind of heron that we could shoot in the coastal area of the city of Posadas, after touring several places and could not find them, we finally observed and photographed a number of herons of this species in the former Balneario el Brete was the only sector standing trees, since the rest was affected by the Reservoir of the Yacyretá Dam.
Unlike other herons is quite arboreal.
Has medium size (between 60 and 65 cm), stand fast in the eyes of bright red. Throat, breast and underparts pure white. The top of the head and back are dark gray, but in a changed tone. From her neck out three long white feathers, slightly longer in males than in females.
The legs and feet are pale yellow (slightly more intense during the breeding season), and the peak, strong but not overly long, is greenish at the base and black top. Notable is the short length of his neck, when compared with that of other herons.
It is eminently a bird of twilight and nocturnal habits, but in the breeding season you can see it in operation in the light of day as on this occasion, as he was flying with her brood.

It feeds mainly on fish, amphibians and insects. Exceptionally supplement their diet with a mouse.

Gallareta chica (White winged coot)

Last days spent touring the coastal area of the former Balneario el Brete of Posadas with Roby we see movement among the reeds, by not having brought my binoculars i focused my lens at thissector and I can view these Birds.
Roby tells me ... Gallinule, I answer, have yellow shield.
Big surprise for us since neither Coots with these characteristics are referred to our province. After waiting a while to verify the identification because he had to look at the legs for removal of doubts between the White winged coot and the red gartered coot see that one begins to take off and seeing no red part in the leg confirmed the sighting.
The White winged coot is 30 centimeters long, walk a lot and also is the most flying.
Is the apex of the secondary white shirts, and the shield is round and yellow.
